Amazon

The Amazonas facility represents a section of the habitat of a large South American watercourse that would actually be found in the Amazon lowlands. The Amazon is the largest aquarium in the zoo and houses, among other things, the largest fish species in the vivarium, the pacus, but also the freshwater rays and piranhas. It was built in the course of the Vivarium roof renovation in 2013.
