Crocodile facility

Eye to eye with the crocodile. The installation depicts a section of a subtropical, stagnant body of water in Africa. The branches of the large tree hang down into the water, and between them the two stump crocodiles move slowly or lie in wait for possible prey in a crocodile-typical posture. The enclosure was opened in 2017 under the motto “more space for the crocodiles” and allows deep insights into the habitat of the stump crocodiles.
