Nature conservation

Domestic biodiversity is decreasing drastically, Switzerland is losing a lot of species at the moment. The zoo wants to create more space for animals in nature and is thus committed to more biodiversity. The Bern Animal Park is located in the middle of nature and already includes various near-natural habitats. In the future, these habitats will be promoted in the zoo and more will be created – leading to more diversity in and around the zoo and increasing biodiversity in the urban region of Bern. Content only available in German.
