AareAlps<\/h1>\n

The new AareAlpen complex represents a section of the habitat of chamois and ibex in the Alps. Alpine forests for the chamois merge into rock faces that are modelled on the area around the Creux du Van and are home to the ibexes. On the two pinnacles, the young ibexes practise their first climbing steps.<\/p>\n

Alpine marmots also live in the aviary.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”24736″ add_caption=”yes”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”19450″ add_caption=”yes” add_custom_caption_class=”yes”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

The ibex – a Swiss success story<\/h2>\n

What would Switzerland be without ibexes? These proud animals are not considered the “Kings of the Alps” for nothing. However, there was a time when their survival was anything but certain. The sad story of their extinction and the beautiful story of their adventurous rescue, which can be considered the most successful story of a reintroduction in Switzerland, is vividly told and brought to life on the Poacher’s Trail in the Aare Alps.<\/p>\n

Follow in the footsteps of Giuseppe B\u00e9rard along the poacher’s trail and enjoy fantastic views of ibex, chamois and marmots as well as the turquoise-blue Aare.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”24747″ add_caption=”yes”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”21686″ add_caption=”yes”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”Wildererpfad”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

The Poacher’s Trail in the AareAlps<\/h2>\n

Equipped with a stamp card, some fitness and a portion of curiosity, unexpected insights into the facilities, amazing stories and the symbols of extinction await you on the way up. These include an ibex pharmacy and an ibex trap.<\/p>\n

At the four knowledge stations as well as at the four listening stations, the cunning poacher tells the eventful story of the Alpine ibex. By answering the eight questions correctly, you can collect information about the ibex as well as the necessary equipment of a poacher of that time. The stamp passport with the hopefully correct stamps will finally help you to get Giuseppe’s telephone number.
