Fancy an animal adventure? With around 200 different animal species, the zoo – nestled in the Dählhölzli forest and directly on the Aare river – offers an experience for young and old. The Dählhölzli Zoo Bern is open 365 days a year. Seals, bears, leopards, musk oxen, eagle owls, wolves, gopher, monkeys and many more invite you to observe as well as discover. The «Kinderzoo», the «Eulen Bistro» and a large forest playground make the zoo a popular family destination.

Admission to the zoo is free for children under the age of 6.

Whether by public transport, on foot, by bike or by car: the zoo in the Dählhölzli Forest in the middle of the city of Bern is easy to reach.
